"Hafatzim" is a growing Israeli company that produces and markets home accessories. Our uniqueness is in the everyday utility of each object, the simple, clean lines, the natural fibers and materials and the detailed attention to the handmade. Quietly beautiful, easily blended into the rooms of your home, "Hafatzim" furniture, rugs, lighting, kitchenware, linens and accessories have a magic that simply can't be explained.
The Hebrew word "hafatzim" has two divergent branches of meaning: one is "objects," "things" or "belongings"; the other is "wishes" or "desires." We, at "Hafatzim," feel we've brought together these two meanings to create "objects of desire," things that each of us wish for and need, in our homes and in our lives.
When we opened "Hafatzim" in Israel in 1994, our goal was to create a new line of home accessories, working with both local and international artisans. Today we produce home accessories in Israel, Egypt, Italy, southern France, India and Vietnam, and import high quality crafted products from England, the Czech Republic, Albania and Ecuador. We sell "Hafatzim" products at our Tel Aviv store in the lovely Neve Tzedek neighborhood, in Jerusalem and through our catalogues. We also sell "Hafatzim" wholesale to hotels, stores and retail chains, restaurants and other business establishments at special rates.
The unity at "Hafatzim" comes from our distinctive combination of the Mediterranean and the Eastern - in the lines, in the colors, and in the blending together of beautiful fabrics and materials in all of our products.
And in that blend is the elusive magic we wish to bring to you, the quiet, harmonious dialogue between objects and their environment. The dialogue between object and light, climate, need and way of life - that is the result we strive for at "Hafatzim."
